The Birth of a Nation began when Nathaniel “Nat” Turner was a slave boy in the early years of the nineteenth century in Southampton, Virginia, United States. Growing up, Nat is charged as a preacher while owns intelligent qualities, as well as know how to read and write. However, when he realized that he was abused the white and witnessed many black slaves have been oppressed, Nat decides to stand up and stages a bloody uprising.
